Say it's not so!
Yesterday i commented on a posting by the ref on the US coaching vacancy and said "i vote for klinsman, but really say 'anyone but Sven.'"
Along comes today's New York Times which has the headline "U.S. Seeks Eriksson as Team Manager".
God help us.

The recycling of less than stellar coaches never fails to amaze me. As talent rich as the English pool was, I have to say that Sven got so little out of his club. Aside from the WC debacle, I think Bruce Arena got a lot out of the available talent on the UNMNT -- that over time, the team did better than one might have expected. Similarly, Klinsmann got a lot out of Germany. I'd rather go with someone who did more with less than with a coach whose team underachieved.
